Abstract:
[Problem] To make it such that the speed and temperature of a heater fan device can be controlled as desired. [Solution] A magnetism generation unit (10) is connected to an AC power supply and generates a magnetic field. A rotor (20) has a coil-array member (22) and a soft-magnetic metal plate (21) laminated thereto. The magnetic field generated by the magnetism generation unit (10) causes the rotor (20) to rotate and heat up. A fan device (40) has an impeller that contains a plurality of blades and is affixed to the rotor (20), and said blades rotate together with the rotor (20). An AC drive signal consisting of a superposition of a first frequency component and a higher second frequency component is supplied to the magnetism generation unit (10). The speed of the rotor (20) and the degree to which the rotor (20) is heated can be controlled, respectively, by changing the amplitudes of the first and second frequency components of the AC drive signal.
