Abstract:

A heater according to the present invention has: an electroconductive heat generating member for radiating heat waves as a result of being supplied with power; and a metal cylindrical member for accommodating the heat generating member. The heat generating member is formed of a material containing carbon in an amount of 80 mass% or more, the cylindrical member is formed of a material containing at least one type of substance selected from among platinum, rhodium, tungsten, iridium, and molybdenum, and no insulating materials are arranged between the heat generating member and the cylindrical member.
