Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heating apparatus and heating method that are not susceptible to the occurrence of temperature differences between the surface and interior and that pre-heat stampable sheets in a short time and keep generation of voids to a minimum. Specifically, the present invention provides: a heating apparatus for an object to be heated that comprises a material with a property such that voids are generated therein as a result of heating while the apparent volume thereof expands, the heating apparatus being characterized in having an expansion-limiting member that contacts the object being heated and limits expansion of said object being heated at least until the object being heated arrives at or above the temperature at which the expansion begins (expansion starting temperature); and a heating method.
