Title:
HEATING ELEMENT AND HEATING MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/189123
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A heating element comprising iron oxide ceramics containing Ti in a hematite phase, wherein the atom ratio Ti/(Fe + Ti) of Fe and Ti included in the iron oxide ceramics is not less than 0.3 atomic % and not more than 9.0 atomic %. The heating element has an electric resistivity of 5 × 10-4 Ω·m to 14 Ω·m at room temperature. A heating member comprises the heating element as a structural material and a first electrode and a second electrode provided on the heating element, wherein the structural material itself generates heat when a high voltage is applied between the first electrode and the second electrode. As a result, it is possible to increase responsiveness with respect to temperature adjustment compared to when heated with an external heater, and to reduce power consumption.
