Abstract:
A heating system for vehicles which does not require a considerable space for installation in an engine compartment, can be manufactured at low cost and adequately heat a compartment at the engine start. A water pump (WP) and a viscous heater (VH) are housed in, for example, a mount housing (1) joined to a cylinder block of an engine, a plate (2) and a cover (3), and are driven by a drive shaft (11) of a common use. A sub-water jacket (WJ2) of the viscous heater (VH) communicating with a main water jacket (WJ1) of the engine through a pump room (4) of the water pump (WP) communicates with a heater core.
