Title:
HEATING SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED HYDROGEN GENERATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/128984
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
A heating system for heating a liquid includes a fuel cell having a plurality of charged plates operatively positioned within the fuel cell. An electrolytic solution supply conduit is operatively connected to the fuel cell for supplying electrolytic solution to the fuel cell. In one embodiment, a water conduit supplies water to the fuel cell. The water in the electrolytic solution disposed between said charged plates is converted to H2H2O2 gas. A torch is provided for receiving the H2H2O2 gas. A heat exchanger is operatively positioned relative to the torch for receiving heat from the torch and supplying the heat to a manifold for heating a liquid. In one embodiment, the fuel cell and the electrolytic solution are disposed within a first chamber of a reservoir and a cooling fluid is disposed within the second chamber of the reservoir.
