Abstract:

A tire wherein at least one layer of rubber-coated organic fiber cords extending radially beyond a terminal end of a folded portion of a carcass extends from a position in the vicinity of an outer side of a bead core toward a position in which the layer of cords passes the terminal end of the folded portion in an outer portion of a side wall of the tire, so as to separate diagonally outward from the folded portion. Another tire wherein at least one layer of rubber-coated organic fiber cords extends toward a position in which the layer of cords passes in an outer portion of a side wall of the tire, the terminal end of the bead portion reinforcing layer of a layer of steel cords, which extends radially beyond a terminal end of a folded portion of a carcass so as to separate diagonally outward from the reinforcing layer. Another tire wherein a terminal end portion on the side of a folded portion of a carcass of at least one layer of rubber-coated organic fiber cords extending radially beyond the terminal end of the folded portion has a first bent section extending toward an inner portion of a side wall of the tire.
