Abstract:
A heavy-duty tire for construction vehicles, which enhances the wear resistance of land sections in the central area of the tread surface and land sections on each side area, and which is capable of effectively preventing thermal failure in the central area of the tread surface, is provided. Side circumferential lugs (7) comprising multiple lugs (6) partitioned by lug grooves (5) that open to the edges in the tread width direction are disposed on both side areas of the tread surface (1), and a single circumferential central block (4), which comprises multiple blocks (3) and aligned on the tire equator line (E), is disposed from the tire equator line to the sides of the tire equator line from a position 1/4 of the width of the tread surface (TW). Grooves in the circumferential direction (8) and grooves in the width direction (9), which partition each block (3) of the circumferential central block (4) both form fine grooves with a width narrower than that of the lug grooves (6), have a directional pattern, and indicate the direction of rotation. The offset distances (HS, HE) of the groove wall of the grooves in the circumferential direction (8), which contribute to the partitioning of the blocks (3), from the tire equator line (E) are formed so as to be greater at the stepping-in end (10) of the blocks (3) than the kicking-out end (11) of the blocks (3).
