Abstract:
A heavy duty tire is provided with: a first belt layer which comprises cords extending in the circumferential direction of the tire; a second belt layer which comprises cords extending while being tilted relative to the circumferential direction of the tire; and a third belt layer which comprises cords extending while being tilted at an angle less than or equal to 30° relative to the circumferential direction of the tire in the direction opposite the direction in which the cords of the second belt layer are tilted, the first belt layer, the second belt layer, and the third belt layer being sequentially arranged from the inside in the radial direction of the tire so as to be located on the outer peripheral side of the crown region of the carcass which toroidally extends between a pair of bead sections. The width (w3) of the third belt layer is set to be greater than or equal to 80% of the width (w) of the tread. If the width of the second belt layer is w2, the relationship of w2 < w3 is satisfied.
