Abstract:
This heavy-duty tire (1a) comprises a tread portion (4) and a pair of side wall portions (5) continuous with each side of the tread portion (4). This heavy-duty tire (1a) further comprises a bead portion (2) which is continuous with the side wall portions (5) and at least one circumferential groove (10) which is provided to the side wall portions (5) along the tire circumferential direction C. The side wall portions (5) include the maximum width position P2 widthwise of the tire. Where H is the distance from the innermost end P1 (in the tire radial direction R) of a carcass layer (3) to the maximum width position P2, the circumferential groove (10) is provided between positions P3 and P4, P3 being 1/2H from the maximum width position P2 to the inside in the tire radial direction R and P4 being 3/4H from the maximum width position P2 to the outside in the tire radial direction R.
