Abstract:
A shock-absorbing mechanism comprises a hollow heel (1) with an upper cavity (11) and a base (12) with a vertical bore (13). An elastic body (2) is embedded in the upper cavity (11) of the heel. A piston (3) comprising a flat head (31) and a vertical tube (32) is arranged under the elastic body (2) such that the head (31) abuts against the base (12) of the heel and the tube (32) fits into the bore (13). The pin (41) of a heel top piece (4) is inserted into the lower end of the piston tube (32). This assembly creates a gap (F) between the top of the heel top piece and the lower side of the heel. Three embodiments of the shock-absorbing mechanism are described. In the first embodiment, a lower cavity (14) is provided under the base (12), into which cavity an upper portion (42) of the heel top piece (4) partially penetrates, and a cover (5) is fitted onto the upper cavity (11). In the second embodiment, the cover (5') has an undercut (51) with holes (52) for receiving screws (6) for fastening the heel (1'). In this embodiment, holes (17) are provided in the internal reinforcements (16) of the hollow heel (1'), and the elastic body (2') and head (31) of the piston have cut-outs. The third embodiment is a wedge heel (1'') having the same structures as the second embodiment, but with a modified shape.
