Abstract:
The invention relates to a helical engine which is an internal combustion engine and comprises a rotary helical member, in the shape of two opposite arcs ")(", having a hollow helical path, and two metal discs (gears) rotated by the rotary member. The benefits of the two rotary discs are to seal against gases, displace gases inside the hollow helical path in the rotary member and facilitate lubrication. The engine takes in a mixture of fuel and air and forces same to travel inside the hollow helical path (in the rotary member), said path being formed by a plurality of helical loops that each narrow regularly up to a central area of the rotary member where the pressure is highest. In this area, combustion occurs to explode the mixture and cause the energy of the explosion rotate the rotary member, so that the exhaust gases can move to a wider loop on the exit route. The engine takes in the mixture of fuel and air automatically and expels the exhaust gases automatically.
