Abstract:
A helmet simply structured, reduced in weight, and capable of preventing rainwater
from entering therein while maintaining air permeability of the helmet. A helmet
body (A) has a shell body (1) formed in a hemispherical shape as a whole and having
at its top a ridge (11) in the front-rear direction in a generally reverse U-shaped
cross-section with a predetermined height, and also has a folded part (12) formed
at a peripheral edge part of the helmet body. Vent holes (13) are symmetrically
formed on both right and left sides of the shell body (1) at predetermined intervals.
Around the outer periphery of the vent holes (13), on the outer surface of the shell
body (1), there are formed side face projections (14a) in a linked manner and integrally
with the shell body (1). In the same manner, vent holes (13) and ridge area projections
(14b) are formed in the side surfaces of the ridge (11) at predetermined intervals,
in a linked manner, and integrally with the ridge (11).
