Abstract:
The plurality of contacts (96A, 96B, 96C) of a shaft member (90) mounted to a helmet body (14) are in contact with a cam surface (88) formed in a hole (86) provided in the base end (72) of a chin guard (16). When the chin guard (16) is rotated relative to the helmet body (14) from a totally closed position to a totally open position, at least one contact (96A, 96B, 96C) comes into contact with an engagement surface, and at the same time, at least another contact (96A, 96B, 96C) fits into a recess. As a result, the chin guard (16) is affixed relative to the helmet body (14).
