Abstract:
A repair fabric, kit and a method for modifying a clothing item, wherein the modification can be the repair, change or appearance or change of length of the clothing item. The repair fabric includes a fabric component having a bonding agent affixed to at least a portion of the interior surface thereof. The kit includes a repair fabric sized and shaped to enable conformance to a perimeter of the end or ends of the clothing item. The bonding agent is selected to be activated upon being heated. The kit includes a set of instructions for positioning the repair fabric, optionally cutting at least a portion of the end or ends of the clothing item to minimize uneven portions thereof, and heating the bonding agent to bond together fibers of the repair fabric and fibers of the clothing item.
