Description:
HEMORRHOID TREATMENT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME Technical Field The present invention relates to a hemorrhoid treatment, and more particularly, relates to a hemorrhoid treatment consisting of bamboo-salt particles and palm oil and a method of manufacturing the same.

Background Art Hemorrhoid disease is one of chronic diseases of modern persons, since it is difficult to treat the hemorrhoids and there is a fear of a relapse of it. Operation is a preferable method to treat the hemorrhoids, but it is not an optimum method due to the relapse.

The hemorrhoids classified into internal hemorrhoids, internal hemorrhoids and hemorrhoidal fistula are enlarged, bulging blood vessels in and around the anus and lower rectum due to repeated dilation and destruction of capillaries distributed in the anal sphincter. The most common symptom is painless bleeding and protrusion during bowel movements. However, if the hemorrhoid protrudes from the anal opening, patients feel a pain and are not quite well when sitting on a chair or walking. In addition, with the passage of long time as it is, it may be a cause of a large intestine cancer or rectal cancer. Function of the anus may be lost.

Various methods of surgically removing the hemorrhoids have been proposed, but it is substantially difficult to completely cure the hemorrhoidal disease by any method. The present inventor found that if tissues of protruded skin are reduced at the minimum and the reduced state is properly maintained, the surgical remove is unnecessary and there is no difficulty in living.

The inventor contrived a suppository that bamboo-salt particles are compress-

formed in a shape of solid cylinder having a diameter 5 millimeters and a length of 10 millimeters by use of a conventional mold, and the cylinder is enclosed with a gauze and inserted into the anus. However, the patient feels a pain when inserting the suppository into the anus, and the usage thereof is cumbersome. In addition of dissolving speed is very slow, and the feeling that the suppository is inserted into the anus is bed. In addition, the above suppository is possible to treat the internal hemorrhoids, but is not impossible to treat the external hemorrhoids.

Meanwhile, salt roasted in bamboo (i. e. , bamboo-salt) is a mass, such as magma, produced by filling a bamboo joint grew above 10 years with sea salt, sealing an opening of the bamboo joint by mud, and heating the bamboo joint within a furnace at a temperature of 900°C to 1300°C over nine times. It is widely known that the bamboo-salt has effects of anti-cancer function, anti-inflammatory function, decontaminating function, and preserving and synergy function of activity of cells.

Disclosure of the Invention Therefore, an object of the present invention is to solve the problems involved in the prior art, and to provide a hemorrhoid treatment consisting of bamboo-salt particles and palm oil and a method of manufacturing the same.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a method of manufacturing a hemorrhoid treatment consisting of bamboo-salt and palm oil capable of treating external and internal hemorrhoids without surgically removing the hemorrhoids or preventing the condition from being grown worse.

The present invention is characterized by using fine bamboo-salt particles and palm oil that is a solid state at a room temperature but is dissolved at a body temperature.

According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of preparing a hemorrhoid treatment comprising the steps of introducing palm oil

and fine bamboo-salt particles into an agitator in a ratio of 2: 1 or 5: 1, and during heating the agitator at a temperature of above 40°C by conventional heating means, mixing the palm oil and bamboo-salt particles to produce a mixture solution ; dropping a small quantity of the mixture solution onto an upper center surface of a gauze of a gauze patch ; passing the gauze patch with the mixture solution dropped thereon through a blast chamber to solidify the palm oil; and packing the gauze patch by an automatic packing apparatus.

The gauze patch includes a gauze adhered to an upper surface of an air- permeable waterproof sheet, a glue each formed on both edges of the gauze, and a release paper detachably adhered to the glue. Preferably, the amount of the mixture solution dropped onto the upper surface of the gauze is about 3 milliliters.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a hemorrhoid treatment comprising: a solidified mixture consisting of palm oil and fine bamboo-salt particles in a ratio of 2: 1 or 5: 1 ; and a gauze patch having a gauze adhered to an upper surface of an air-permeable waterproof sheet, on which the mixture is dropped, a glue each formed on both edges of the gauze, and a release paper detachably adhered to the glue.

Brief Description of the Drawings The above objects, other features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing the preferred embodiment thereof with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a gauze patch according to the present invention.

Fig. 2 is a front view of Fig. 1.

Fig. 3 is a schematic view of an agitator employed in a first embodiment of the present invention.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention Reference will now be made in detail to preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

First Embodiment Palm oil and fine bamboo-salt particles are introduced into an agitator in the ratio of 2: 1 or 5: 1, and the agitator is heated by conventional heating means 30 at a temperature of above 40°C, while the palm oil and bamboo-salt particles are agitated to produce a mixture solution"a".

The heating means 30 may include an electric heater, a gas burner and an oil burner. The agitator preferably has a rotation speed of 60 to 120 r. p. m. , but it may be changed if necessary. Since the palm oil is molten at a temperature higher than that of a human body, the palm oil is easily molten by heating the agitator at a temperature of above 40°C. In other words, it is not necessary to require a high temperature of 70 to 80°C. Upon agitating the palm oil and the bamboo-salt particles within the agitator during above 10 minutes under the above condition, the pine bamboo-salt particles are fully dissolved in the hot palm oil, thereby allowing the component of bamboo-salt particles to be contained in the palm oil. It is undesirable to mix the palm oil with the bamboo-salt particles beyond the ratio of 2: 1 to 5: 1. Specifically, it is next to impossible to dissolve and mix a lot of bamboo-salt particles with a little of palm oil; otherwise, if a little of bamboo-salt particles are introduced to a lot of palm oil, the effect of the bamboo-salt may be deteriorated.

As shown in the accompanying drawings, a gauze patch 10 has a center portion contacted to an anal region of a user, and end portions extended from the center anal region contact portion and attached to the skin of a hip of the user, in which a width of the anal region contact portion is narrower than that of the end

attaching portions. A small quantity of mixture solution is dropped onto an upper center surface of a gauze 12 of the gauze patch 10. Specifically, as shown in Fig. 3, an agitator 20 is provided at a lower portion thereof with a valve 26, so that one or more drop of mixture solution"a"is dropped on the upper center surface of the gauze 12. The amount of the dropped mixture solution is within a range of about 3 milliliters, but it may be increased or decreased if necessary.

The gauze patch 10 with the mixture solution"a"dropped thereon is passed through a blast chamber in which wind of below 20°C is blown, thereby solidifying the palm oil. Since the palm oil is characterized in that it is solidified at a temperature of below 30°C, the solution"a"mixed with the bamboo-salt particulars and the palm oil is solidified by passing through the blast chamber.

The gauze patch with the solidified mixture containing the palm oil and the bamboo-salt particles is packed by a conventional automatic packing apparatus, and is kept in a chamber maintained at a temperature of below 30°C, so that it is forwarded to pharmacy, hospitals, supermarkets and so forth so as to be sold to consumers.

A method of using the present gauze patch will now be described. If a release paper 14 is detached from the upper surface of the gauze patch according to the present invention, a glue 13 is exposed, and also the solidified mixture is also exposed. The glue 13 is stuck to the skin of the hip, while the solidified mixture is lightly pressed against the cleaned anal region. At this state, the solidified mixture is applied with the body temperature, and the solidified palm oil is gradually molten, such that the bamboo-salt particles are contacted with cells of hemorrhoid tumor.

Accordingly, the bamboo-salt particles are dissolved by moisture and sweat of the cells of hemorrhoid tumor and moisture permeated in the palm oil, and the bamboo- salt component infiltrates to cells of hemorrhoid tumor.

According to clinical tests, as the results that persons suffering from external

hemorrhoids having a diameter of about 10 centimeters were applied with the gauze patch according to the present invention 5 times a day during 30 to 45 days, the diameter of hemorrhoid tumor was reduced by about 2 millimeters. After that, the persons took up a demanding exercise regimen to prevent constipation, and the anal region was cleaned one or more time. As the results, the hemorrhoid of which the diameter is reduced by about 2 millimeters was no longer expanded. Since physical conditions are different to each other according to people, about 5% of treated people were relapsed into the hemorrhoids. As the results that the relapsed people used the gauze patch according to the present invention 5 times per day, the relapse was disappeared within about 60 hours. Therefore, the gauze patch according to the present invention can keep tissues of hemorrhoids to a minimum.

In the state the tissues of hemorrhoids were reduced to a small size, the gauze patch according to the present invention applied to the hemorrhoids once a weak were, so that there was hardly the relapse of the hemorrhoids.

Secretion from tissues of hemorrhoids and perspiration from the skin adjacent the hemorrhoids are absorbed by the gauze 12, and are isolated by a waterproof sheet 11, thereby preventing underwear from being contaminated.

Meanwhile, as the results of testing the present invention against persons suffering from internal hemorrhoids under the same conditions as those of the above related to the person suffering from external hemorrhoids, it requires a period of about 1.5 times relative to the case of treating the external hemorrhoids. Upon evacuating the bowels, hardly the people felt the pain and lost the blood. In the case of the internal hemorrhoids, it was more preferable to use a suppository according to the present invention, the effect of which will be described hereinafter.

Second Embodiment Now, the second embodiment of the present invention will be described, which is substantially similar to the first embodiment of the present invention.

Fine bamboo-salt particles of about 1.5 milligrams is dropped onto an upper center surface of a gauze 12 of a gauze patch 10, which may be performed by a manual operation or a conventional automatic apparatus.

Next, palm oil of about 3 milliliters that is heated to a temperature of above 40°C is dropped onto the bamboo-salt particles to cover the particles. It is possible to drop the palm oil of above 3 milliliters onto the particles, but the amount of about 3 milliliters is preferable according to experiments. Since the bamboo-salt particles are covered by the palm oil, the particles are securely protected by the palm oil.

And then, the gauze patch is passed through a blast chamber as the first embodiment so as to solidify the palm oil and pack the patch.

According to the second embodiment, since the bamboo-salt particles are covered by the palm oil, the palm oil is firstly dissolved, and the bamboo-salt particles are quickly contacted and endermically absorbed into the tissues of the hemorrhoids. As the result of clinical demonstration, it is found that the second embodiment has the effect similar to that of the first embodiment.

Third Embodiment Now, the third embodiment of the present invention will be described, which is characterized in that palm oil and bamboo-salt particles are kneaded to be transformed into a gel state.

The palm oil and the fine bamboo-salt particles are mixed by an agitator in the ratio of 1.5 : 1, and the agitator is heated at a temperature of above 40°C, thereby producing a gel mixture"i". The palm oil of 1 milliliter is dropped onto an upper center surface of a gauze 12 of a gauze patch 10, and the mixture"i"is attached in a flat shape to the dropped palm oil, prior to solidification of the palm oil.

The gauze patch 10 is passed through a blast chamber to solidify the mixture "i". The time required to solidify the palm oil is 3 times relative to the first and second embodiments. The reason is that the gauze patch according to the present

invention includes the gel mixture of palm oil and bamboo-salt particles.

Preferably, the mixture"i"adhered to the upper surface of the gauze 12 has a shape of coin having a diameter of about 12 millimeters and a thickness of about 1 millimeter. The shape, size and thickness of the mixture may be varied according to the demand of manufactures or consumers. The process of adhering the mixture "i"prior to the solidification of the palm oil dropped onto the upper surface of the gauze 12 may be performed by manipulation or conventional automatic apparatus and thus the detailed description thereof will now be omitted.

As the result of clinical demonstration, it is found that the product according to the third embodiment has a slow endennic speed of the bamboo-salt into the tissues of hemorrhoids but a long durability, relative to those of the first and second embodiments. Other results of the clinical demonstration are similar to those of the first and second embodiments.

Fourth Embodiment A method of preparing a suppository suitable for the internal hemorrhoids will now be described.

After fine bamboo-salt particles are compression-formed in a shape of ball or bullet head by use of a press and mold, the surface of the molding is coated with the palm oil, and then is packed under a vacuum atmosphere. The mold consists of an upper mold and a lower mold each closed and opened by the press, and applies a pressure of more than 5 Kg/cm to the particles to form the ball or bullet-head shape of suppository. This technology is widely known in the art, and thus the detailed description thereof will be omitted herein. The process of coating the surface of the suppository with the palm oil may be performed by a spray method or an immersion method (instantly immersing and pulling the suppository out of the palm oil). The suppository coated with the palm oil is passed through the blast chamber, and is packed.

Preferably, the suppository of ball shape has a diameter of about 10 millimeters. If the diameter is more than 10 millimeters it is difficult to insert the suppository into the anus. Also, the user feels a pain and loses blood. Meanwhile, preferably, the suppository of bullet-head shape has a diameter of about 10 millimeters and a height of about 15 millimeters.

Since the suppository according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention has a shape capable of being easily inserted into the anus, it is preferable to the internal hemorrhoids. The suppository inserted into the anus is securely maintained in a proper position by constricting force of the anal sphincter. The bamboo-salt particles are gradually dissolved and are absorbed into the tissues of the hemorrhoids. At that time, the secretion or perspiration from the anus may be removed by a conventional gauze attached to an underwear.

As the results of testing of the suppository of the fourth embodiment to the serious internal hemorrhoids, after the patient used 5 times a day, there was no loss of blood. When evacuating the bowels, and the patient felt no pain. In addition, the patients had no difficulty in living. As the results of a through medical examination after two weeks, the tissues of the hemorrhoids were contracted, and a passage of the anus were restored to above 90% of good health. In other words, the passage of the anus which is occluded by the tissues of the hemorrhoids was restored to its original state. After that, the patient continuously used the suppository while one week, so that the passage of the anus was restored to about 97% of good health.

Furthermore, as the results of using the suppository once a month, there was no relapse of the hemorrhoids during 3 years. Of course, there was no loss of blood, and the patient felt no pain. In addition, the patients had no difficulty in living.

While the present invention has been described and illustrated herein with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made therein without

departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention covers the modifications and variations of this invention that come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.

Industrial Applicability With the above description, the present invention provides effects of preventing the hemorrhoids from being relapsed, in a state that the tissues of the hemorrhoids are remarkably reduced. If the patient uses the present invention once in a while for a long time, it is not necessary to excise the hemorrhoid tumors, and the hemorrhoids may be well managed.
