Abstract:
An herbal wine formulation with special effect prepared using Cortex Acanthopanacis and Wolfiporia extensa, comprising the following herbal ingredients for every 2,000 ml of a baijiu: 36-54 g of Wolfiporia extensa; 180-240 g of Cortex Acanthopanacis; 16-25 g of Herba Dendrobii; 80-90 g of whole Radix Angelicae Sinensis; 8-12 g of Fructus Corni; 25-45 g of Rhizoma Chuanxiong; 25-35 g of Radix Ginseng; 35-46 g of Radix Paeoniae Alba; 80-90 g of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae; 26-34 g of Photinia serratifolia; and 18-26 g of Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae. Grind the herbal ingredients to a rough powder, then place the powder in a 3-layered linen pouch and close the pouch. Immerse the pouch in the baijiu for 7-10 days and bury the baijiu underground. Open the baijiu after 5 days, filter and remove herbal particles, clarify the filtrate, and bottle the filtrate for subsequent use. The baijiu is a cereal liquor with 40-60% alcohol content. The Wolfiporia extensa, Cortex Acanthopanacis, whole Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix Ginseng, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Fructus Corni, Photinia serratifolia, Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, and Herba Dendrobii can be used in a fresh state or dried state. An herbal wine of the present invention can regulate qi-flow to strengthen the spleen, tonify qi and blood, nourish the spleen and stomach, and provide a healthy color. The herbal wine can be used to treat conditions caused by weak qi and blood, including poor appetite, gastric disorder and watery stool, sallow complexion and emaciation, exhaustion and fatigue, listlessness, and the like.
