Abstract:
Provided is a hermetic container, and a method for manufacturing the same, with which optical transparency is not impaired even if a mode is adopted enabling an effective increase in hermeticity, such as thermocompression bonding. The hermetic container is characterized by being provided with a cell body 2 which has a first main surface 5 and a second main surface 6 that oppose one another, in which a first through hole 13 (through hole) is provided penetrating through between the first main surface 5 and the second main surface 6, and which has an inside surface 8 and an outside surface 7 connected to the first main surface 5 and the second main surface 6, a first lid member 3 which is provided on the first main surface 5 of the cell body 2 and which blocks one side of the first through hole 13, and a second lid member 4 which is provided on the second main surface 6 of the cell body 2 and which blocks the other side of the first through hole 13, wherein the outside surface 7 is a fire polished surface and includes a light entering surface and a light exiting surface.
