Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for a seal assembly (105) for an optical fibre feed through that includes a first plate (118), a second plate (120), and compliant material (122). The first and second plates (118, 120) each have a first side (124), a second side (126), and a channel (128) extending therebetween. The channel (128) includes a first cross-sectional area proximate the first side (124) and a second cross-sectional area that is proximate the second side (126). The first cross-sectional area is greater than a second cross-sectional area. The compliant material (122) is disposed between the first and second plates (118, 120) and is at least partially within the first plate channel (128) and the second plate channel (120).
