Abstract:
The present invention relates to a heterogeneous catalyst for producing acetic acid by methanol carbonylation, characterized in that a rhodium complex ion is ionically bonded to an insoluble catalyst support having a quaternary pyridine group alone or a mixture of acetate groups grafted onto a surface of a fluoropolymer. The present invention has many advantages in that it is possible to easily design a fixed-bed bubble column reactor, and since there is no need for a special apparatus to separate a catalyst, apparatus production costs are reduced, and the process is simplified, thereby reducing operating costs and increasing productivity.
