Abstract:
Provided are: a hexagonal boron nitride powder that contains agglomerates, has a maximum torque measured and calculated in accordance with JIS-K-6217-4 of 0.20-0.50 Nm, a DBP absorption level of 50-100 mL/100 g, and a tap bulk density of 0.66-0.95 g/cm3, has reduced anisotropy of heat conduction, and is capable of imparting high thermal conductivity and dielectric strength in a resin composition configured by filling a resin with the powder; and a method for producing the hexagonal boron nitride powder, the method including conducting a reduction-nitridation reaction using boron carbide.
