Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem that when an attempt is made to manufacture a polymer polyol at high concentration, particles aggregate during monomer polymerization intended to produce polymer microparticles, aggregates form readily, and the storage stability of the polymer polyol deteriorates. A method for manufacturing a polymer polyol in which at least one type of ethylenic unsaturated monomer is polymerized together with a seed particle dispersoid in a polyol, wherein the seed particle dispersoid is one obtained by polymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer in the presence of an ethylenic unsaturated macromonomer, a solvent, and a chain transfer agent. A reaction product of a specific polyol, an isocyanate compound, and an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a hydroxyl group is used as the ethylenic unsaturated macromonomer.
