Abstract:
A high-density hollow weave ground fabric comprising expandable double hollow weave parts whose periphery is surrounded by a bonding band comprising an air-pass texture and a basket weave texture, wherein the air-pass texture of the bonding band occupies a boundary side of the double hollow weave parts and wherein the bonding band is composed of, arranged from the side of expandable double hollow weave parts toward nonexpandable parts, a first texture containing 2/2 basket weave texture, small-width hollow weave part and second texture being 3/3 basket weave texture and is furnished with a silicone resin coating layer of 10 g/m2 or more. The high-density hollow weave parts can be woven while suppressing the occurrence of fuzzes and wrinkles. Further, the high-density hollow weave parts are characterized by being free of coating spots and excelling in airtightness. The obtained high-density hollow weave ground fabric is lightweight, realizing striking suppression of gas leakage at expansion, and has the characteristic of high-speed spread possibility. Accordingly, the high-density hollow weave ground fabric is especially useful in rollover countering side curtain air bags for automobile passenger protection.
