Abstract:
The present invention relates to a steam generator and a method for controlling the water level thereof. In particular, the steam generator comprises: a vertical cylinder which has a fixed diameter; a heater which is wound tightly on the outer circumference of the vertical cylinder and heats the vertical cylinder; a water inlet port which is installed on the bottom of the vertical cylinder and supplies water supplied from a water tank to the bottom of the vertical cylinder; a steam outlet port which is installed on top of the vertical cylinder and discharges steam generated on the water surface inside the vertical cylinder to the outside; a temperature measuring unit which is installed to adhere closely to the outer circumference of the vertical cylinder and measures the temperature of the vertical cylinder; and a switch which controls the power supplied to the heater based on the temperature measured by the temperature measuring unit.
