The present invention relates to a small hydropower apparatus comprising: a generator; a water turbine connected to the generator; and a water flow tube configured such that the fore end of water-receiving blade parts of the water turbine is rotated in close contact with a curved portion of a stepped portion of the water flow tube. The water turbine used in the small hydropower apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a water turbine central shaft; a pair of wheels which are fitted on the water turbine central shaft and fixed by a wheel bracket and a bolt so as to be spaced apart from each other by the length of the water-receiving blade parts; a pair of fixed plates which are fitted on the central shaft and fixed to the outer surface of the wheels by a bolt; multiple water-receiving blade parts installed such that blade side surfaces thereof are rotated by a blade pin along the outer circumferential surface of the wheels; a blade guide part for guiding the water-receiving blade parts so as to prevent the water-receiving blade parts from being unfolded outwardly from the central shaft due to a centrifugal force; and a pair of protection plates which are fitted on the central shaft and installed on the outermost side of the fixed plates.
