Abstract:
Disclosed are a high-energy-barrier dysprosium-based single-ion magnet, a preparation method, and use thereof. The structure formula of the single-ion magnet is [Dy(BPA-TPA)(CH3O)](BPh4)2•CH2Cl2, wherein BPA-TPA is 2,6-bis(bis(2-pyridinylmethyl)amino)methylpyridine. Compared with the prior art, the present invention has the following advantages: (1) the dysprosium-based single-ion magnet disclosed herein may exhibit a typical slow relaxation behavior in a zero field, single-molecule magnet characteristics and an energy barrier higher than 1600 K, and can thus be used as a molecule-based magnetic material in a novel high-density information storage device (such as an optical disk, a hard disk, and the like); (2) the dysprosium-based single-ion magnet will not be weathered in air and thus has good stability; (3) the method is safe and simple, highly controllable, and reproducible.
