Abstract:
A high-frequency heating apparatus according to the present disclosure is provided with a placement table, a high-frequency power generator, a transmission body, a radiation unit, and a raising/lowering drive mechanism. An object to be heated is placed on the placement table. The high-frequency power generator generates high-frequency power. The transmission body causes the high-frequency power to propagate as surface waves. The radiation unit is placed on the transmission body and radiates the surface waves as high-frequency power. The raising/lowering drive mechanism sets the distance between the upper surface of the placement table or the object to be heated and the transmission body to greater than or equal to a prescribed distance so as to heat the entire object to be heated via the high-frequency power. The raising/lowering drive mechanism sets the distance between the upper surface of the placement table or the object to be heated and the transmission body to less than or equal to a prescribed distance so as to impart browning on a portion of the object to be heated via the surface waves.
