Title:
HIGH-PILE FABRIC AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/054543
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides high-pile fabric which retains the flexibility of the fabric and has been rendered free from pile fiber shedding without impairing the texture and a process for producing the high-pile fabric. This high-pile fabric comprises a ground weave and pile fibers that are entangled with the ground yarn constituting the ground weave and that are erect on the pile-side surface of the ground weave, wherein the pile fibers comprise acrylic fibers and/or modacrylic fibers and have a lower softening point than the fibers constituting the ground weave. An adhesive resin composition having a glass transition temperature of -100ºC to 10ºC is adherent to the non-pile-side surface of the ground weave in an amount of 30-300 g/m2. Of the pile fibers entangled with the ground yarn constituting the ground weave, at least some of the pile fibers located outside the ground yarn constituting the ground weave have been bonded by hot pressing together with the adhesive resin composition. The pile fibers that are erect on the pile-side surface of the ground weave have not been fusion-bonded.
