Abstract:
In order to provide a high-pressure fuel pump and the like with which the responsiveness of an intake valve during valve closing can be maintained and discharge efficiency can be ensured, even when the pressure is increased or the capacity is increased, this high-pressure fuel pump is equipped with: a rod 117 that biases an intake valve 113 in the valve open direction; a movable element 442 that drives the rod 117 in the valve closed direction; and a solenoid 102 that generates magnetic attraction force for moving the movable element 442 in the valve closed direction. After the intake valve 113 begins to move from the intake valve closed position Xc113 in the valve open direction, the rod 117 reaches the intake valve closed position Xc113, and moves farther in the valve open direction.
