Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump having a fluid resistance increasing part that is in an intake valve body and is formed having a simple shape. Therefore, this high-pressure fuel supply pump is equipped with a fluid resistance increasing part 200 that increases the fluid resistance acting on an intake valve body 31 at an area where the intake valve body 31 and a displacement restriction part 43 oppose one another. The fluid resistance increasing part 200 is equipped with a displacement restriction part recess 201, which is formed on an end surface 31c on the side of the displacement restriction part 43 opposing the intake valve body 31, and has a larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the intake valve body 31, and a connecting part 202, which is formed on the bottom surface 201a of the displacement restriction part recess 201, and communicates with a pressurization chamber. When a portion of the intake valve body 31 on the displacement restriction part recess 201 side is inserted into the displacement restriction part recess 201, a fluid constriction passage 203 is formed between an outer circumferential surface 31b of the intake valve body 31 and an inner circumferential surface 201b of the displacement restriction part recess 201.
