Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump provided with an electromagnetic intake valve which improves flow rate controllability by reducing the fluid resistance of a flow passage in a solenoid. To this end, the high-pressure fuel supply pump of the present invention is provided with: a valve body which opens and closes the flow passage; a rod which urges the valve body; a spring portion which urges a spring receiving surface of an outer diameter protruding portion (flange portion) of the rod; and a movable portion which is formed separately from the rod and is driven by engaging with an outer diameter protruding portion engagement surface of the outer diameter protruding portion (flange portion) of the rod, wherein the movable portion has formed therein a communicating hole through which fuel in a spring space in which the spring portion is disposed flows when the movable portion is moved by being sucked by a fixed portion, and the communicating hole is formed such that a minimum cross-sectional area thereof as seen in an axial direction is larger than a minimum cross-sectional area of a gap between the movable portion and an outer peripheral portion.
