Abstract:
Provided is a high pressure hose that uses a steel cord as a reinforcing material and also has excellent impact durability. The high pressure hose 10 has a structure having laminated therein a plurality of steel cord reinforced layers 11 comprising steel cord wound in a spiral shape, said steel cord comprising a plurality of steel filaments twisted together. The winding direction for the steel cord in the Nth (N ≥ 1) steel cord reinforced layer differs from the winding direction for the steel cord in the (N + 1)th steel cord reinforced layer. An angle of intersection θ1–2 fulfils the relationship indicated by formula (1) (θ1–2 < 76° (1)), when the angle formed between the outermost layer steel filament on the outside in the hose radial direction of the steel cord in the Nth steel cord reinforced layer 11 and the outmost steel filament on the inside in the hose radial direction of the steel cord in the (N + 1)th steel cord reinforced layer 11 is the angle of intersection θN – (N + 1).
