Abstract:
According to the present invention, a housing (10) has: a pressurizing chamber (203) in which a fuel is pressurized; a suctioning passage (204) in which the fuel suctioned into the pressurizing chamber (203) flows; discharge passages (130, 205) in which the fuel pressurized and discharged from the pressurizing chamber (203) flows; and a relief passage (206) formed so that one end thereof is connected to the discharge passage (205) and the other end thereof communicates with the suctioning passage (204). A plunger (50) can reciprocate in the axial direction so that the volume of the pressurizing chamber (203) increases or decreases. When opened or closed, a relief valve part (70) can allow or restrict the flow of the fuel in the relief passage (206). The relief passage (206) extends from one end to the other end such that the one end is connected to the discharge passage (205) and the other end is provided in a counter pressurizing direction, which is the direction in which the plunger (50) moves so that the volume of the pressurizing chamber (203) is greater at the other end than at the one end.
