Abstract:

The present invention relates to a brazing material obtained by mixing an aluminum alloy powder and a flux powder and high-pressure torsion-compacting the same into the form of a final brazing material product. According to the present invention, a brazing material, which is in the shape of a ring with a rectangular cross-section and in which the orientation angle (θ) of aluminum grains with respect to the tangential direction of the outer circumference of the ring is 5°-45°, is obtained by performing a simple uniform mixing step in which an aluminum alloy powder and a flux powder are prepared, and by plastically deforming aluminum grains through high-pressure torsion-compacting the mixed aluminum and flux mixed powder after charging a mold with the mixed powder and compressing the same under constant load so that an oxide film is destroyed and the aluminium grains are miniaturized. The brazing material according to the present invention has the advantage wherein plastic deformation of aluminum grains is enhanced by the action of the shear stress applied by high-pressure torsion and, the spreadability of the brazing material is enhanced by the destruction of oxide film and miniaturization that accompany the plastic deformation, and also has the advantage of allowing a ring-shaped brazing material to be provided by means of a simple production process while minimizing raw material loss during the production process.
