Abstract:

A high-security surge protection device comprises a shell, at least one over voltage protection element disposed inside the shell, a release device used for separating the over voltage protection element from an alternating current or a direct current circuit or device, an arc-control device and a box body that are used for extinguishing an electric arc generated in a process of separating the over voltage protection element from the alternating current or the direct current circuit or device. The release device is formed by a pressure spring, a metal spring sheet, a sliding block, and a soft conductor. The arc-control device is formed by an arc-control grid sheet group, a first arc striking sheet, a second arc striking sheet, a rotation block, and a torsional spring. The rotation block is a strip-shaped block, an electric arc reflecting plate is arranged on one end portion of the rotation block, an installation hole is formed in the other end portion of the rotation block, and an arc-control cavity is formed in the position, close to the electric arc reflecting plate, of the rotation block. The arc-control grid sheet group is installed in an arc-control chamber surrounded by the box body and the shell. One end of the first arc striking sheet is connected to or close to a left end of the arc-control grid sheet group, and one end of the second arc striking sheet is connected to or close to a right end of the arc-control grid sheet group.
