Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an aluminum alloy extrudate that has excellent formability, such as by pressworking, and that has excellent hardenability with which strength can be obtained by air cooling immediately after extrusion and by artificial aging. Provided is an aluminum alloy extrudate comprising, in terms of mass%: 0.30 to 1.00 Mg and 0.6 to 1.40 Si, wherein the amount of Mg2Si is from 0.60 to 1.30 in stoichiometric composition and the amount of excessive Si is from 0.30 to 1.00; 0.10 to 0.40 Fe; 0.10 to 0.40 Cu; 0.005 to 0.1 Ti; less than or equal to 0.3 Mn; and aluminum and inevitable impurities as the remainder.
