Abstract:
The present invention relates to a titanium alloy having excellent processability as well as superior mechanical characteristics. A Ti-Al-Fe-Sn-based titanium alloy according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises, in weight%, Ti-(3-5)%, Al-(2-4)%, Fe-(0-5)%, V-(0-2)%, Sn-(0-2)%, Zr-(0-3)%, Mo-(2-4)%, Cr-(0-0.3)%, and Si, wherein the sum of Fe+Cr+Mo is more than 5%, the sum of Fe+Cr+Mo+Al+V is less than 16%, an alpha phase with a mean effective equivalent circle diameter (hereinafter, ECD) of 1 ㎛ or larger ranges from 0% (exclusive) to 50% (exclusive) in volume%, an alpha phase with an ECD of smaller than 1 ㎛ ranges from 0% (exclusive) to 50% (exclusive) in volume%, and the titanium alloy has a microstructure in which the sum of the alpha phase with an ECD of 1 ㎛ or larger and the alpha phase with an ECD of smaller than 1 ㎛ is less than 65% and the remainder is a beta phase.
