Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high strength welded metal having excellent CTOD characteristics, which is characterized by containing, in mass%, 0.02-0.12% of C, 0.10-0.90% of Si, 1.0-2.0% of Mn, 0-0.12% of Cu, 1.0-3.5% of Ni, at least one selected from among more than 0% but 1.0% or less of Cr and 0.5-1.5% of Mo, 0-0.005% of Ca, 0-0.0050% of Ti, 0.005-0.050% of Al and 0.010-0.050% of O, with the balance being made up of Fe and unavoidable impurities, and which is also characterized in that: the average circle-equivalent diameter of Al-containing oxides in the welded metal is 0.5-1.0 μm; the number density of the Al-containing oxides is 0.005-0.015/μm2; and the contents of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr and Mo in mass% satisfy a specific relational expression.
