Abstract:
A high-temperature superconducting conductor 10 is configured by: forming a laminated body 15 by laminating a high-temperature superconducting layer 14 on one surface of a tape-like flexible metal substrate 12 via an intermediate layer 13; forming a thin film wire rod 11 by providing a stabilization layer 17 around the laminated body via a protection layer 16; and disposing a plurality of the thin film wire rods in the thickness direction. In the high-temperature superconducting conductor 10, the thin film wire rods 11 are configured such that: the thin film wire rod disposed on the outermost side is positioned such that a surface 18 on the metal substrate 12 side faces outside, and a surface 19 on the high-temperature superconducting layer 14 side is held in a state of not being bonded to a facing surface; and both end portions in the width direction are bonded thoroughly in the long-side direction in a conductive state by means of conducting coupling members 20.
