Abstract:
Disclosed is a high toughness and high strength corrosion resistant spring, comprising a spring substrate and a corrosion resistant layer provided on the outer layer of the substrate. The spring substrate consists of the following components in weight percentages: 0.25%-0.85% of carbon, 1.35%-2.10% of silicon, 0.5%-1.20% of manganese, 0.5%-0.7% of magnesium, 1.0%-5.0% of composite metal elements, P ≤ 0.02% and S ≤ 0.01%, with the balance being Fe and other inevitable impurities. The high toughness and high strength corrosion resistant spring is improved through two aspects, i.e. a base material and the coating of a corrosion resistant layer, such that the whole performance of the spring can be improved effectively, and the spring simultaneously has high toughness, high strength and corrosion resistance. Upon detection, when the tensile strength of the product is 2100 MPa or more, the percentage reduction of area Z is ≥ 45%, and the percentage elongation after fracture is ≥ 15%. The resulting spring has an excellent corrosion fatigue resistance, and the strength of the spring is increased by 10% or more and the life is increased by 10 times or more.
