Abstract:
A new highly active (hydr) oxide aqueous sol-gel fire extinguishing agent is
prepared by using the metal oxide or hydroxide and making use of dispersion method
or chemical method. The (hydr) oxide aqueous sol-gel fire extinguishing agent
of the present invention is an, aqueous fire extinguishing sol, which is prepared
by mixing one or more metal (hydr) oxides at the random ratio, and some salts or
surfactants may also added to improve fire extinguishing properties. The particle
powders, made from the (hydr) oxide aqueous sol-gel f ire extinguishing agent
of the present invention can be used as the additives of the fire extinguishing
agent in the dry powder fire extinguishing agent, rinsing extinguishing system,
water spray extinguishing system, water mist extinguishing system, aqueous
film- forming foam extinguishing system, and so on. The (hydr) oxide aqueous
sol-gel fire extinguishing agent of the present invention is friendly to the
environment, non-toxic, highly active, and can, break the burning chain (i.e.
restrain the burning chain), save on water and be used in all fields of fire extinguishing.
