Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aluminum alloy for casting, having enhanced corrosion resistance and fluidity as a result of adding silicon (Si), magnesium (Mg), a rare earth element and the like to an aluminum alloy for casting, and to a method for producing the alloy. Particularly, the present invention relates to an aluminum alloy which is an improvement upon casting aluminum AC7A-, AC7B-, ALDC5-, ALDC6-, ALDC10- and ALDC12-based alloys. The improved aluminum alloy comprises 0.61-12.0 wt% of magnesium (Mg) and 1.0-12.0 wt% of silicon (Si).
