Abstract:
Provided is a highly durable floating oil seal, comprising: a pair of top-bottom structurally symmetrical sealing ring body (1). A working surface (4) of the sealing ring body (1) is provided with a circle of grooves (3) for accommodating a sealing ring (2), and has a circle of wear resistant belt (6) disposed thereon. The wear resistant belt (6) is made of engineering ceramic material or metal material modified by dispersion strengthening with engineering ceramic material. A friction surface (7) of the wear resistant belt (6) is in the same plane as the working surface (4) of the sealing ring body (1) or protrudes relative to the working surface (4). The floating oil seal effectively improves wear resistance of the working surface and increases service life thereof, and can be easily manufactured with a low production cost.
