Abstract:
The highly durable spring according to the present invention includes a single-layer coating film having a thickness of 450 µm or less, wherein the coating film contains an epoxy resin, a phenol resin, and zinc. Although being as thin as 450 µm or less in thickness and being a single layer, the coating film has high corrosion resistance and high chipping resistance. The method for coating a highly durable spring according to the present invention comprises: an application step for applying, to a coating film formation surface of the spring, an epoxy resin-based powder coating material which contains an epoxy resin, a phenol resin, and zinc and which is produced by a melt-kneading method; and a baking step for baking the applied epoxy resin-based powder coating material.
