Abstract:
It is arranged that a power detection circuit (7) for detecting an average power of high frequency signals as before amplified by a second-stage amplifier (5) and for outputting a voltage corresponding to the average power be provided such that the internal impedance of an output match circuit (6) changes in accordance with the voltage outputted by the power detection circuit (7). In this way, a load impedance suitable for a usage environment can be obtained, thereby achieving a highly efficient power amplifier wherein a high efficiency can be intended.
