Abstract:
A highly saturated nitrile copolymer rubber composition which comprises (I) a polymer mixture comprising 40 to 90 % by weight (based on the total amount of the polymer components (1 and 2)) of a polymer component (1) selected from among highly saturated nitrile copolymer rubbers each having an iodine value of 120 or below and 10 to 60 % by weight (based on the total amount of the polymer components (1 and 2)) of at least one polymer component (2) selected from among polyacrylate ester rubbers, ethylene oxide homopolymers, propylene oxide homopolymers and copolymers mainly comprising ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide, and (II) an organic peroxide. Products of vulcanization of the composition exhibit so excellent heat resistance as to withstand deterioration or hardening even after long-term exposure to high temperature, thus being particularly useful as wire covering material.
