Abstract:

Provided is a highly saturated nitrile rubber latex that contains an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer unit at a proportion of 10-60 wt%, that has an iodine value of 120 or less, and in which the weight average molecular weight of soluble content with respect to chloroform is 100,000 or less. The highly saturated nitrile rubber latex is characterized in that: the loss tangent tanδ(50 °C) of a film that is obtained by removing volatile content that is included in the latex and configuring a highly saturated nitrile rubber film is 0.3-0.6 at 50 °C; and the complex torque (S*) of the film at 100 °C during 100% shear strain is 20 dNm or less. Also provided is an adhesive composition comprising the latex.
