Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a dimming device capable of preventing a malfunction due to mixing of noise into alternating-current power supply voltage and waveform distortion. This dimming device is provided with a time sharing control circuit which controls effective voltage to be supplied to a lighting load by adjusting a period during which a switching element is on, and provided with a zero-cross detection unit (11) which detects a zero-cross point and generates a zero-cross signal the value of which changes at the zero-cross point, an oscillator (13) which generates an oscillation signal having a frequency that is the same as or an integral multiple of that of an alternating-current power supply, a reference point determination unit (14) which measures the phase difference between the zero-cross signal and the oscillation signal every time the zero-cross signal is generated, and on the basis of data relating to the measured value thereof, determines a reference point for determining the timing at which the switching element (6) is turned on or off, and a time sharing control signal generation means (an on/off timing calculation unit (15), a time sharing control signal generation unit (17)) which transmits an on/off signal to the switching element (6) at a timing determined on the basis of the reference point and the effective voltage to be supplied to the lighting load.
