Abstract:
Disclosed are an innovative hinge device which exerts a nonconventional function effect, and an electronic device using the hinge device. Specifically disclosed is a hinge device which pivotably connects a first member (1) and a second member (2), and which is configured in such a manner that cam sections (4) provided to a first pivoting body (3) that pivots with the pivoting of the first member (1), and cam engaging sections (6) provided to a second pivoting body (5) that pivots with the pivoting of the second member (2) are pivotably provided relative to each other, and are brought into concavo-convex engagement with each other by being biased by a biasing body (7), and in such a manner that the cam sections (4) and the cam engaging sections (6) are biased/engaged, or become in the middle of being biased/engaged by the biasing body (7), whereby the pivot position of the first member (1) and second member (2) is maintained.
