Abstract:
A hinge device (H) is provided with a first member (1) mounted to one-half of a device opened and closed in a folding manner, a second member (20) mounted to the other half of the device, a shaft member (30), and a torque bracket (40) having a curled section (41) and supporting the shaft member (30).  The first or the second member (1, 20) is provided with a bearing member (2), and the torque bracket (40) is mounted to the bearing member (2).  The bearing member (2) is provided with a recess (5) formed in a containing section (4) for containing the torque bracket (40).  The torque bracket (40) is provided with a mounting section located at a free end (42) at the other end of the curled section (41) and adapted to be pressed under pressure into the recess (5).  A tapered section (5a) (42a) having a gradually reduced width is provided to either the recess (5) in the bearing member (2) and/or the mounting section of the torque bracket (40).
